Who of us, even the most dedicated art connoisseur can't sympathize with the young man. The Louvre is a BIG place! Sometimes one just needs a little rest and perhaps a kiss, so tender.

At the Muse d'Orsey it struck me that these young women were all "pretty in pink", the one viewing the painting and the other two in their rosy birthday suits.

Auton regard dans l'hiver

Autumn gazes into winter. It was a fall day and my "exchange son's" parents had come to visit from France. His mother was the picture of fashion in warm fall colors.
When we went to visit the De Young art museum,I loved the contrast when she stopped to look at this painting of a small country house wrapped in it's winter robe. I added the leaf on the floor as an expression
of autumn as well as a compositional devise.
